I’ve really enjoyed this series of showing parents various techniques for helping their children manage intense emotions. Have you? For the past 5 weeks, we’ve covered how to manage negative intense emotions. But what about the positive intense emotions our children experience? I thought it would be a great idea to focus on this topic for my bonus video this month.

Can you list examples of positive intense emotions? What about joy, excitement, elation, or ecstaticism? Those are emotions that our children experience but often struggle with how to manage that energy. Even though these are positive feelings, there is a certain level of self-control that we all must have. Even if something extraordinary happened in our lives, we can’t go bouncing off the walls, even if that’s how we feel inside.

This week, I wanted to share with you a great technique that you and your child(ren) can use when you are overwhelmed with positive emotions. I think you will definitely enjoy it.

Remember to leave a comment down below and let me know what you think of this technique or how you have managed positive intense emotions now or in the past. I’d love to hear from you.

Did you know? You can share this video or any other video in this series. It’s really simple. All you have to do is click on the icon for your favorite social media platform, sign in and share. Easy as 1-2-3.
