Parenting with Mindfulness (Bonus)

Isn’t it great to have a moment of peace and tranquility? I know you’re probably saying, “Kathleen, what is that?” Ha! There have been many times when I felt the same way. However, the best thing I could have ever done was to create a space for mindfulness.

Last week, I introduced this new concept and thought pattern to you. I discussed what mindfulness is, the first step to gain it and what exercise I use to heighten my awareness. Also, I introduced you a wonderful book by Thich Nhat Nanh called, Planting Seeds: Practicing Mindfulness with Children.

I wanted to share some videos that will give you an idea of how you can begin to introduce the idea of mindfulness to your children and how it can be used with them. I know that this may be difficult to incorporate with your children at the beginning, but be patient and open, with them and with yourselves.
