Mindfulness of life is something that is practiced. You don’t wake up one day and all of a sudden have the ability to be aware. I’ve been studying the art of mindfulness for years and it’s something that I still have to practice at getting the mastery over, daily. But it is something that you can get better at. Over time, it becomes easier to be mindful when things are fairly easy or easier. However, life throws you curve balls. It will take you along a road with unexpected turns and curves. How do you keep your mindfulness during those times?

Today I share with you a story about how my brief absence of mindfulness led to an absolutely wonderful and magical experience. My ability to reflect on the journey, live in the moment and learn from it, is what I like to call messy mindfulness.
